Took Rt 16 out of Buffalo and the first thing we encountered was "The Pass" about 25 miles out we crossed over the mountain pass at nearly 10,000 ft. I froze my butt off. By the time we descended, I was shaking more than the Harley was. Made it out alive and stopped in Worland for some hot food.
This experience was foundational in our decision to skip the 8,000 plus altitudes of Yellowstone for this trip. Instead we spent the night in Cody and then went into Montana.
