Occidental Hotel & Buffalo, WY

Got some great views of the Rocky Mountains as we drove in last night. The weather was picture perfect as we came across the prairie. Came across this (town?) in the middle of nowhere.

You couldn't tell by looking but this place has a big bar in the back.

I have never seen so many antelope, the place is crawling with them.

Stayed the night at a historic western hotel in Buffalo, WY. We lucked out because it was bluegrass jam night with some pros and a bunch of local wanna-be musicians playing in the old bar. My thing was to drink whiskey and smoke a cigar where Teddy Roosevelt and Butch Cassidy did. Since there is no smoking in the bar I only got half that done. Our room has a cute little balcony (the only one) that overlooks main street. We had coffee out there this morning.

Today the plan is to head over to Cody about 185 miles. There is a Buffalo Bill Museum on the agenda. After that, Yellowstone.
