Tuesday Across Nebraska

The mission today is to get to Sydney, NE, a distance of 350 miles. The best weather of the trip so far. Missed the strong winds and had a pleasent trip. The freeway is 75mph limit the whole way. After buzzing along at 80 for several hours, getting slowed down to 55 for construction seems like a snail's pace. We stopped for lunch in Grand Island and there was a cop taking advantage of this by ticketing unattentive drivers who got off the freeway. We ate at a Sonic Burger and stopped at the local Harley dealer to say hi. Even though we bought sunscreen, I did not have the sense to put it on my face and now it is sunburned :(
Made it to Sydney and stayed at the (overpriced) Motel 6. Trish visited her first Cabelas store. I must admit to being somewhat dissapointed by this store but maybe the Lacy, WA store is a hard act to follow.

This is pretty much what there is to see from the Nebraska freeway. . .

The "Sod House Museum" No kidding!

This is at the sod house museum. This is made entirely of barbed wire.

Nice touch making it a male bison.
